Mass Market Appeal?

I don't know about anyone else, but I would really like to get a version without the cameras, and a simplified remote. I know that sounds silly, but it'd be tons of fun taking this out to a park or just around the block. Or if it could follow me without me having to do anything. Probably just my Star Wars side coming out, but I'd love that.

In the mean time, how much does a standard one cost?

Thanks, and keep up the great work.

i agree with the park statement, that would be lots of fun. i am imagining this following me around school or town and all eyes peering at it. if anyone asks, its name is Sparky, "man's best friend" for the 21st century thats virtually bullet proof

the robot is just really cool. would be cool if it was faster. 6mph is not much (for its intended purpose it must be enough)....but that could be limited by the weight of the counter balance for the engine torque and the friction of the bearings.

i want to know what one would cost...wonder if they may come up with developer kits like Whitebox robotics

Hi,

thanks for good thoughts. Currently we sell GroundBot's for security use and do not offer a mass market version. Surely it would be interesting to do so, so let us see what the future has in mind.

In regards to price we do price quotations for projects depending on tasks and configuration - we do not have a standard price yet.

Thanks for the interest shown in our technology.

I so totally want one too. Could we have an approximate for how much it costs (300 bucks or a million dollars?) and when the simplified version would be ready? also, how far is the range of the remote? can i take it down the street from my bedroom? does the remote attach to a computer? can you open it? and, totally unrelated whatsoever from the topic, what's the security code for posting for?
