I want to see some video!!!
(Preview)
Hey, the still shots are nice but can you post an example of the 2D video taken from inside the Rotundus, and some outside footage of it in action? Description says it's slightly bigger than an auto tire, and the specs say it's 0.6m tall, which is what, 2 feet? I'd love to see that in action -- how fast it acc...

The system, the blurb states, was designed for use in 'space' applications, that increases it's unsuitability for 'earth' use. 1. Not one-man portable: the diameter of the device is extremely large also how would you grip it; 2. It can be quickly rendered partially inoperative with heavy p...

Have you considered developing GroundBot into a vehicle? Not where you sit inside the ball, but with the balls as wheels?
BTW, love the idea!

I had a flash into the future when I saw the video of goundbot rolling thru the ocean.
Unlike stationary bouy's These bots can travel giving it the ability to move in for a closer look.

animals control
(Preview)
Protecting animals on open pastures or in a controled zoo would be a future use.
It takes little to run off some of the four legged critters which kill sheep, calves etc.
By putting a speaker & a light to scace the intruder off you would have a near perfect watch dog for live stock.
You have a very go...

I doubt if many people realize that "robo balls" such as these will comprise around 50% of all urban robots in the future
When i first developed the technology back in the 70's computing power & battery power was very limited and the project was shelved.
The key advantages of robob...

Physics Behind The Robot
(Preview)
I am in an Aerospace design class and we are looking at something similar to this concept. I know the drive mechanism is proprietary but could you explain some of the physics behind it? Is the motor mounted to a shaft that is free to rotate? Or is the shaft fixed to the outside and the motor? Just something...

Mass Market Appeal?
(Preview)
I don't know about anyone else, but I would really like to get a version without the cameras, and a simplified remote. I know that sounds silly, but it'd be tons of fun taking this out to a park or just around the block. Or if it could follow me without me having to do anything. Probably just my Star Wars side...
